....That's when I moved into my new apartment. It was amazing, built for royalty with everything you could imagine made out of complete gold. I lived there for five years-those being the best five years of my life. I would die before giving my new home up. Then something absolutely terrible happened. My business, that was supposed to be helping peoples lives while supporting this life style, completely failed. After it fell through everything seemed to be going wrong, I could not afford the rent and sooner or later food became a problem as well. I was forced to live on the streets. Every night for seven days straight, the same twelve guys beat me up and took all the quarters I was saving up-which wasn't much but left me with nothing. As this started to become a pattern and I knew I wasn't able to stop it, the seventh night I decided to run hoping they wouldn't come after me. A man saw all this and rushed me into a safe zone, we talked and he felt horrible with everything that had happened. He made the decision that the only fair thing would to be to switch our lives around. I fought him on this yet not as hard as I should've because I secretly wanted this offer. His apartment was my former one, my dream place that I was kicked out of. To this day im here, back to how things used to be and waiting to hear from my old…...

Dell's business strategy combines its direct customer model with a highly efficient manufacturing and supply chain management organization and an emphasis on standards-based technologies. This strategy enables Dell to provide customers with superior value; high-quality, relevant technology; customized systems; superior service and support; and products and services that are easy to buy and use. Does the company rely primarily on a customer intimacy, operational excellence, or product leadership customer value proportion? What evidence supports your conclusion? The main focus for Dell would have to be its customer intimacy. Dell's business model eliminates wholesale and retail dealers that would add unnecessary time costs and should diminish Dell's understanding of what the customer expects of them. By avoiding expenditures associated with the retail business, Dell is able to offer superior customer service. From a personal point of view, I had a virus downloaded by an unwanted email and Dell's customer support service took care of me and eventually, after a few hours, eradicated the virus. My computer has been fine ever since. What business risks does Dell face that may threaten its ability to satisfy stockholder expectations? One risk is that Dell needs to manage its research and evaluation of......

10 Years from Now

...Colie Carlson Technical writing 4th period 5-1-13 10 year reflection essay Well in the past ten years I have been going to schooling to become a veterinarian technician and an equine trainer. In those years that I have been doing so I have traveled around the country quite a lot. I am really excited to be seeing everyone again mostly all of the people I hung out with during school. For the first while after I left school I went to college to become a veterinarian technician it took me a while to figure out what I was doing and how hard it was going to be for me. After the first year of schooling I got into the hang of things and became better and learned at lot from the schooling I had to do. Then after that going into the equine trainer schooling was easier for me because I already knew the anatomy of the horses and everything that was medical I just needed to learn how to train them. After I finished all of that I was paid a lot of money to travel across the country to train peoples horses and go to clinics to teach people how to get a better connection with their horse and how to help train their horse themselves. Traveling the country was fun but I missed where I came from I haven't been able to come back here until now because of work. I really missed all of you because I missed all of the memories that we shared. Spending time with everyone and causing trouble for each other. I remember that I loved going to school just to see my friends because I......

...uncertainty. As scripture reminds, “we do not know what will happen tomorrow”. Sadly the fulfillment of our dreams can sometimes turn into nightmares. This remind us not only of the uncertainty of life, but also of the need to align our desires with God’s Will. Experience us that if we allow presumption to our lives, the fulfillment of our own compulsive dreams may turn to dust and ashes. There is a legitimate desire, to be sure, but my mother thought on how to approach them. Instead of presuming that our plans an dreams will be fulfilled, we ought to say, “If the Lord will, we shall live and to this or that.” When we submit our plans our plan’s to God’s will, we can enjoy his peace in the midst of life’s uncertainty. In the next 5 years, it’s difficult to envision such an existence and future. All I know is , I will give my very best to achieve those dreams of mine, I don’t want to give a definite insight with regards to my future because only god knows what will happen tomorrow, the next day or in the near future. But one thing is for sure. I will strive and aim for my lofty ambitions and creativity. And no matter what my occupation is, or my status in life. Or what kind of family I have. I must keep work in perspective. And as long as I trust in God I will never be failed. “Do not live minimally. Live life to the maximum! Climb that mountain with confidence. That’s my quotation in life....

China in the Next 10 Years

...and exports. The export-driven model will need to be restructured, give way to domestic demand. This will be an era of moderate-sustainable growth and the Chinese economy will shift focus from heavy industry to services. There will be greater investment in technology and the demand for managerial and marketing talent will rise. As a response, many Chinese multinationals are already showing an inclination towards hiring cross-cultural employees. For example, a European with knowledge of Chinese Business and Language may be preferred over another Chinese resource. My father, currently working for an Indian Firm in Hangzhou, understands both Indian and Chinese Culture, speaks Mandarin and has lived and worked in China for almost two years. He is a living example of an international managerial resource getting the special advantage. An international MBA graduate can expect that an MBA from China will facilitate a great career in the next decade. To cope with this major change and make use of the special advantage, you should empower yourself by learning Chinese Business, the culture and the language. The experiential learning coupled with previous international exposure and experience, will give you the opportunity to build a career in China. All, these put together will give you the cross-cultural edge, accelerating your career growth. ...

There are many interesting aspects which can be compared between Java and .Net. In this paper we examine the architecture of Java RMI and .Net Remoting and test their performance as they come ”out-of-the-box”. The performance was measured over a series of 3 different tests using .Net and Java’s high performance timers and our own modules to measure CPU utilization and Memory usage. In all our tests Java RMI had the best performance times. 1 1 Introduction The creation of software has been evolving strongly over the past few years. How Do I See My Self 10 Years from Now

...How do I see myself 10 years from now? It is a human nature to desire for something beyond ourselves. I may not be a perfect person that wishes for a perfect life. But one thing is for sure, what I wanted is what I really deserved. Dream big. No one can say what we are going to be in our future, we are the drivers of our own lives, whatever road it may be, it’s either a smooth or even rocky road. We are the planners and doers of our own lives. I’m a kind of person that never stops on dreaming, wishing for something that I really wanted to have, material things or even something that will make me and my family happy and satisfied. Back when I was only a child, I keep on saying to myself that I want a big house, a car, and I wanted to be rich so that I can help my family. I want to travel around the world with my family, something that we can’t do before. There’s nothing wrong in dreaming, as long as we have the courage and passion to pursue all of that. Keep on dreaming, but dot forget to make it real. Hard work, perseverance, and faith to God are the key. God is the center of all things; he makes all impossible things possible. And as I see myself 10 years from now, I’m already 28 years old who already graduated from this course BS Math – Business Application. And after I graduated, I applied on a job that is related to my course on a prestigious company. And as my hard work was paid off, I got promoted in a higher position as the......
