1. How multithreading works in a server
Multithreading occurs when a process executing an application, is divided into threads that can run concurrently. Multithreading is useful for applications that perform a number of essentially independent tasks that do not need to be serialized.
When a multithreaded application is active in a server, the events that occur take place in three phases: i. Start-up phase- requests come in and are handed to a thread for processing. ii. Work phase- in this phase multiple client requests are handled concurrently in multiple contexts. The system allocates a separate thread for each request. In response to clients’ requests for a service, the server dispatcher creates multiple threads in one server that can be assigned to various client requests simultaneously. Each thread is associated with a separate context or request to the server. This feature is useful in both conversational and RPC servers which otherwise may stay idle waiting for the client side of a conversation. iii. Completion phase- When the application is shut down or stopped, the server performs any termination processing that is necessary such as closing a resource manager.

2. Advantages and Disadvantages of implementing multithreading
As user space threads * Switching threads is faster when thread management is done in user space. * Fast thread switching. * Fast thread scheduling. * A multithreaded program operates faster on computer systems that have multiple CPU’s with multiple cores. * A multithreaded application remains responsive to input. Through analysing the legislation, A New System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999, it can be concluded that the GST has a neural effect on business-to-business transactions and that only the ultimate customer pay for the GST. The registration of entities is the basis of the goods and services tax (GST) system. According to section 23-1 GSTA, only these entities which are carrying on enterprise can be registered. The enterprise is defined in the section 9-20, which consist of activities done in form of business or in form of an adventure or concern in the nature of trade. These rules indicate that the ultimate customer, who is not carrying on enterprise, cannot be registered in the GST system. For these entities which are carrying on enterprise when entities’ GST turnover reach the registration turnover threshold, that is$75,000 ($150,000 for non- profit entities), they are required be registered by section 23-5 and 23-15 GSTA. A common misconception is that catalysts lower the activation energy of a reaction, whereas really, they are using an alternative route of the reaction in order for the bonds of the reactant to be broken with a lower activation energy. The way catalysts situate this ‘alternative route’ is by binding to the reactant molecule and changing the electron configuration so that there is high electron density near the bond that are trying to be broken. As electrons have a -1 charge, they repel when within close proximity. The electromagnetic force then causes these electrons to repel, therefore breaking the bond at a lower activation energy level by using an ‘alternative route.’ An effective, yet simple analogy can be used to describe the way catalysts work, for example, take a steep, curved hill like the shoddy one you see below. The hill has a road starting from the foot of the left side and finishing on the foot of the right side of the hill. There is also a tunnel running through the hill. A car can go over the hill, resulting in the same finishing point as the tunnel despite taking longer and using more energy. Video: Windows Server 2008: How to Install a Printer: The Windows Server 2008 video was interesting to say the least; however sound or narration to the video would have been more helpful. Since it is silent it is difficult at times to ascertain exactly what the demonstrator is trying to communicate. At times the instructor was pointing to menu lists even though these were not part of the process. The process pretty much followed the same process that the lab book suggested in fact I had just finished the lab when I started watching the video. The only difference here was that the setup was for adding the printer on a Standard TCP/IP Port, which wasn’t covered in the lab book. Typing a printer name also selected the same as the port name. The instructor did copy/paste the IP address and Port Name, which did make that part seem much easier as well. Strange though the device wasn’t detected on the network and additional information was asked if the instructor. A generic network card was selected and then the printer still wasn’t located but the Add Printer window appeared and allowed the instructor to select the printer out of hundreds of others. Finally, an IBM 4029 laser printer was selected and of course the computer prompted for the driver disk immediately. The neodymium-YAG laser emits infrared light at 1,064 nanometers (nm). A nanometer is 1 x 10-9 meters. Gas lasers (helium and helium-neon, HeNe, are the most common gas lasers) have a primary output of visible red light. CO2 lasers emit energy in the far-infrared, and are used for cutting hard materials. Excimer lasers (the name is derived from the terms excited and dimers) use reactive gases such as chlorine and fluorine mixed with inert gases such as argon, krypton or xenon. When electrically stimulated, a pseudo molecule or dimer is produced and when lased, produces light in the ultraviolet range.
