Develop a Daycare/Preschool
Parents are shown that a specific code has to be entered to enter the building (which will be in an office area). The parents will then have to show a license to pick child up and to sign a book with the child’s information and whoever is signing them out. They will walk you around and show you each room, according to age group. Explain the various rules and regulations to each room and meet each teacher/teacher assistants. When meeting teachers and assistants they would explain their schooling to be qualified for the job. Even though my child is in the three year old room, I would like to know the procedures of what is done with dirty diapers or soiled clothing. They also explain the eating schedules and bring the group into the kitchen and explain the rules. They would also explain the restroom procedures. Then they would explain the way children are disciplined, and then explain daily routines.
Child can copy shapes and draws designs. Child can pour liquids, eat with silverware, and use toilet alone. Child dresses self with help.
They will eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and possibly a dinner. (Depending how long they are there). Breakfast-fruit and a pop tart; Lunch-a sandwich with vegetables and fruit; Dinner-Spaghetti, vegetables and bread. All these would vary according to a day. Specific needs would be dealt with according to their needs specifically.
Nap after lunch- rest 30 minutes and nap for 30 minutes.
They will get a lot of exercise with interactive play and recess.
The staff would have to be interactive everyday with the children, say good morning/good afternoon and remembering all the children’s name.
Separation anxiety will be handled by making the child feel comfortable in their surroundings. I would like them to feel as though this is a home away from home.
