...game. If these companies want to stay atop their field, being a socially responsible leader can’t hurt in the public arena. will bring them under the microscope and accountability none the less will be balanced on apples shoulders not the factory making the equipment or the country providing the service. You have a responsibility to the infrastructure that produces your product. The great pocket ace that Apple has is that people, who truly cannot afford their product, take time out of their work schedule to stand in line and purchase their item.  This goes beyond just managing your supply chain. There is a "culture", a distinct line that can be drawn between apple and PC.  There is no metric than can measure fanaticism. The awesomeness that Apple brings is that they are able to forecast their own fanatical demand.  They seem, somehow, to have their finger on the pulse of their own community. They essentially have built their own supply chain....

...with Threadless. They start blogs about Threadless (like this or this or this). They care what happens. The rationale to persuade their stakeholders comes also from the attractive Programme as it’s playful: Threadless nails the playful part of the process. Check out the “A song about this tee” MP3 on shirt pages like the one for Happy Hospital. Or how about the Willy Wonka inspired Find the Golden Tag and Win! (“If you receive your order and your shirt has a gold foil tag you win a free tee of your choice!”). Q. How do you become a skinnyCorp employee? How can I become a skinnyCorp employee? A. You have to be amazing. When we hire, which we don’t do very often, that’s the first thing we look for. Amazingness Followed very closely by awesomeness, and then insaneosity. You also have to be able to hold your breath for 6 minutes while completing a mile-long sprint. Do you have what it takes?! When the site asks for a birthdate it follows up with a link that says, “Who wants to know?” instead of the typical “Why do we need this?” This playful attitude is part of why people get excited about Threadless. Here’s what Kathy Sierra says about playfulness: “Brains love play. Find a way to bring more play (or at least a sense of playfulness) into someone’s life, and you might just end up with a fan. Brains evolved to play, and apparently the bigger the brain, the more likely it is to play. Play turns the brain on. Plus, there’s a subscription revenue stream via the 12 club (a......

...Elizabeth DeHaven Professor Dr. Nicole Martins T317 11/3/13 Paper C As I was watching an episode of the Nickelodeon series, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, an advertisement for “Power Rangers Megaforce” action figures caught my attention. The ad was filled with many different toys flying everywhere. Toys were moving and jumping through the air all by themselves. The commercial not only advertised the action figure people, but also different guns, motorcycles, and add-on pieces to the toys. Different types of action noises were blasted throughout the ad to enhance the action figure’s abilities. Also, there showed a young boy in the ad, presumably around the age of 5, playing with the toys while his face was lit up with pure excitement. The TV show, Kung Fu Panda: Legend of Awesomeness, is directed at children between the ages of 5 and 7. Since kids in this age group are watching this show, the advertisements that are going to be shown will also be directed at kids this age. Young boys ages 5-7 watching this show would be the main target age group and would be highly captivated by this action filled advertisement. In a research study by Kunkel and Gantz, it was found that the same types of products dominated commercials during children’s programs (Strasburger, Wilson, & Jordan, 2014). The four main categories of children’s ads found on television were toys, cereals, snacks, and fast food. This proved to be true as I continued to watch the following ads...

...from what you said, it sounds to me like you could probably easily make the jump to all-grain brewing on the stovetop. here's how it might go for a 3-gallon batch: in your brewpot, heat 9 quarts of water. when the water hits 170 deg(1), dump in the grain. stir gently to break up any dry lumps and make sure all grain gets wet. stir up the grains every ten minutes, stopping after the fourth time. this will give the grainbed the last 20 minutes of the mash to settle. after one hour has elapsed, use a siphon (preferred) or careful ladling (also works) to transfer the clear liquid on top to a separate container. whatever big containers you have will do for this temporary step, since the wort is ultimately going to go back into your brewpot once the grains have been eliminated. also, since you're going to boil the heck out of the wort, you don't have to worry too much about sanitation of these other containers. the same goes for stirring spoons, other utensils, etc. the rule of thumb is that before the boil, anything the wort touches just has to be clean. after the boil it has to be clean AND sanitized. if you can tell that you're getting this portion of the wort out without any grains in it, carry on. if you're getting grains, you should run it through a cheese cloth on the way to your boil pot. (probably a good practice anyway) when you've removed all the liquid that can be gotten to conveniently, you'll be left with......

How to Live a Happy Life

...their own happiness. Some think of it as contentment; others, of pure pleasure; while there are those who see it as sacrifice. In reality, we are not always free from troubles. At the end of the day, what we can only achieve is to minimize them. After all, we would not realize the essence of happiness without these. Contradicting Scientific Methods

...basis for ethics. Faith tells us that humans have value far above fact. Faith explains that there is something greater than knowledge, and the search for knowledge should not have free rein and be allowed to damage the very thing it is studying. Science agrees that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) but it doesn't have an opinion on the preservation of people. Faith tells us that we are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and have great value far above what could be learned from organs and cells and atoms. Science tells how we work; faith tells us we have worth. Faith and science should be partners, each giving more depth to the other. Science, when properly used, validates faith in a Creator and exhibits the awesomeness of His work. Faith guides science to noble causes and gives science context. The best scientist is one who understands there is a Creator and enthusiastically learns what he can about that creation....

...UNIQUE NUMBER: 613530 My Perceptions of Africa 1. Environment: In my view Africa’s environment is one of its biggest assets. Unfortunately Africa’s natural habitat is suffering from human interference. Climate changes can also have a massive impact on the Africa environment and its people as many people live of the land. Africa has a wide range of different environments whose characteristic features are largely determined by latitude, altitude and rainfall. Africa’s continent has a great diversity of environments, ranging from the Sahara Desert, through to rainforest and wetlands. Land degradation is also one of Africa’s concerns, overgrazing is only one example of this. Africa’s environment in my view is one of peer beauty and awesomeness, but according to me there is two factors that puts it in danger and that is, our humans and climate changes. 2. Conflict: My perception of conflict in Africa is that it keeps Africa from developing into a great continent, one that is economically strong and progressive. Poverty is the word that regularly comes up when talking about conflict and is the main reason for conflict in Africa. Conflict brings along underdevelopment and insecurity that prevents development and economical security. There are many other reasons for conflict in Africa as well, such as competition for natural resources and ethnic tension and normally it is woman and children that suffer the most in this situations. We also have to accept that in......

Best Ways to Give Up the Ghost

...it up most of the time. People who are fortunate to be born in a well-off family end up spending all their wealth and end up miserable. People who were born miserable die miserable. Life is full of struggles, pain, and misery that I ask myself, why do people still want to live in this world? I mean, seeing all these tragedies, why would they still want to endure all this pain? I came up with one solution on how to stop these troubles, suicide. There are, of course, a lot of ways to die. But I will show you the best ways to die that even at the very last moment, you can catch a glimpse of happiness. Included on the list is to have an honorable death, to be a hero! Defending your friends from the massive zombie invasion will gain you awesomeness and respect. Although your survival chances are minimum, the feeling of being the last stand is great. But the best part of it is after you die, you become immortal! Isn’t that amazing? You are going to live again without any problems your past life did give you. This is surely and epic way to die. If you don’t want to die painful deaths, there are painless ways to die. You just have to gather every medicine tablet you could find and medicate yourself with it. An antibiotic would be the best supplement for this. Just think that after taking all these medicines, we will be immune to all kinds of diseases due to the effect of every tablet that went through our digestive track. You don’t need to have a doctor’s prescription for this......

...Wear cute clothes. You don't have to wear super expensive designer clothes all the time, but be cute. That doesn't mean that you go out of your way to look sleazy; comfortable and stylish is the goal. 8 Have your own unique, personal style. A good way to do that is to mix styles. For example, you can be sporty and girly at the same time, or sophisticated or casual at the same time; run with it. Don't be too wild! 9 Don't blend in: Stand Out Dress in your own personal style (go back a step for more info). Make sure your style matches your personality: don't wear clothes or dress in fashions you don't feel comfortable in. Have your own "signature" look that no one else has. 10 Just love yourself and everyone else will see your awesomeness....
